Welcome 2011! Aside from now I can officially use my 2011 Belle de Jour Power Planner, it’s also time to start the 2011 BDJ Checklist! I’ve also included the 2010 BDJ Checklist that I wasn’t able to accomplish.
2011 BDJ Checklist
- Throw a huge party and invite every one of your friends.
- Swim with a dolphin.
- Go bungee jumping.
- Have your portrait painted.
- Learn to speak a foreign language and make sure you use it.
- Go skinny-dipping
- Be an extra in a film.
- Learn how to take a compliment.
- Give your mother a dozen red roses and tell her you love her.
- Be a member of the audience in a TV show.
- Send a message in a bottle.
- Get to know your neighbors.
- Plant a tree.
- Learn not to say yes when you really mean no.
- Write a fan letter to your all time favorite hero or heroine.
- Visit the Senate and the House of Representatives to see how congress really works.
- Learn to ballroom dance properly.
- Fall deeply in love — helplessly and unconditionally.
- Stay out all night dancing and go to work the next day without having gone home (just once).
- Be someone’s mentor.
- Shower in a waterfall.
- Ask for a raise.
- Learn to play a musical instrument with some degree of skill.

- Go whale watching.
- Learn to forgive.
- Teach yourself how to change the oil in your car.

- Call a family member or a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while.
- Have a garage sale to clean out your old, but still useful, stuff.
- Write a letter to your future children. Share your advice and stories to them.
- Make your homemade pizza.
- Tell the people in your life that you love them as often as possible.
- But yourself a boquet of flowers.
- Own a pair of high heels and learn how to walk in them.

- Indulge in a guilty pleasure.

- Write an old-fashioned , hand written letter to a friend.

- Visit Binondo and eat authentic Chinese food.

- Learn something new to cook.
- Bake cookies and give them to your family and friends.

- List 20 things you like about someone. And then give the list to that person and make their day.

- Memorize a passage in the Bible, or a poem that you can relate to.
- Schedule a visit to your doctor for a check up.

- Fake an accent.
- Try out a new hairdo.

- Start a reward fund – set aside a few pesos everyday to spluge on something at the end of the year. Expand your identity.
- Really clean your room.
- Learn to play a musical instrument.

- Learn how to identify a constellation or two.
- Watch a live basketball match.
- Lead by example! If you can change, then it just might inspire others.
Additional Checklist from 2010:
