First Mang Inasal Media and Bloggers Night

Last August 1, I was invited to the first Mang Inasal’s Media and Bloggers Night held at T.E.A.T.R.I.N.O in Promenade Greenhills launching their newest campaign: The Mang Inasal Mang Aawit Music Advocacy Program and the Grand Gadget Give Away.

The Grand Gadget Giveaway is a promotion which raffles off ASUS Eee Pad Transformers and special I Love Mang Inasal USB Ballers everyday. To join, a customer has to purchase 250 pesos worth of product from Mang Inasal and they have a good chance to be a lucky winner for everyday of the Month of August. That night, two of my our bloggers won the new Asus Eee Pad Transformers.

I think what highlighted the event is the Mang Inasal Mang Aawit Music Advocacy Program. This project aims to aid eight deserving artists music grants and exposure to a wider  audience as Mang Inasal shows its support for OPM. This also aims to preserve and enrich the local music scene by providing new and original songs that reflect Filipino sentiments, values and spirit an avenue to be heard.

The eight breakthrought artist chosen for their talent, commercial appeal and type of music were:

OPM Pop Heartthrobs 1:43
Debut Recording titled “Time for Love” remains on the best selling album chart for months now;

Stephanie Dan
Sony Music’s Acoustic Gem

Aries Sales
Acoustic Singer-Composer from Davao;

Stand-Up Comedian and Radio Host of DZBB Teleradyo;

Musical Auteur, gold record Artist and staunch OPM advocate, who will launch his second all original album in September;

Sheng Belmonte
The Sultry pop singer and Pinoy Dream Academy Scholar whose latest single “Gigil” is now a radio hit;

Kiss Jane
Hitmaking pop band behind the songs “Lagi” and “Baliw”; and

Arnee Hidalgo
The soul artist who will be launching her come back album soon.

Arnee Hidago was not able to perform during the launch but all these artist really need their much deserved break.

“The Mang Inasal Mang Aawit advocacy program comes at a time when OPM needs it the most. It is one big step in reviving our local music industry that was once the most influential in Asia,” Related Mang Aawit Project Director Chris Cahilig.

It was one fun night congrats to Mang Inasal for this advocacy program!
