Last June 20, Fila together with the Athletes in Action (AIA) launches the biggest advocacy run to help raise funds for the rehabilitation of classrooms in Iligan City, which were badly hit by Typhoon Sendong back in 2011.
Since 1911, FILA traces its roots from Biella, a province set at the foot of the Italian Alps. Unbeknownst to many, this small town brand is big on corporate social responsibility. At the recently concluded 2012 FILA Polo Cup, project “500 for 500” was launched by FILA President Butch Albert to help Typhoon Sendong victims once again by donating 500 pesos to 500 families for every purchase of Skele-Toes.
Fila is once again ready to bring a brighter future to our kababayans through this run. Available in 3k (Php350.00), 5k (Php450.00) and 10k (Php550.00), the School Run for School Rooms will be held on July 7, 5:00 am at the Bonifacio Global City Taguig. “This aims to gather 20,000 runners from rival universities and colleges in Metro Manila and other youth organization to run together for a common cause – that of rehabilitating classrooms in calamity stricken communities”.
